Help! I have so much weight to lose

Oh boy! How could you? I do eat the gherkins now, I used to give them to hubby, so I don't mind them now, but craving them.....never.

Doesn't happen often Zand and I don't think I could eat them by their selves. To be honest my downfall is chocolate and chips.
I have a bit of chocolate every evening , only saving grace is that its now 85% dark chocolate and I seem to be ok with it ...thankfully

Yes, I haven't been brave enough to have 85% chocolate yet because I'm not sure I won't buy other chocolate too. I did give my son a hint when I dropped him at the airport though, because in the past he has brought me 85% choc as a pressie! I wasn't sure whether he knew it was allowed on LCHF so I thought it would be a good time to tell him!

I buy mine out of aldi , its lovely and hits the spot. My taste has changed and I don't enjoy Cadbury as much as I did when I was a chocoholic.
You ll see on the other post that I gave into temptation and had lemon meringue pie ...I used to love it ...hadn't had it for ages ...and I didn't enjoy it.. I think my taste buds have changed.
Hopefully my walk after will have helped combat the effects.

That's excellent. An average of 2lb a week is so good. I wish I could do the same! Have you had to buy a whole new wardrobe yet? I'm finding my tops are OK, 'cos I always wear big girl baggy stuff, and trousers/shorts with elasticated waists are still OK but my linen trousers with drawstring waists are getting to be a problem. They are starting to look a bit like clown trousers!

I'm still wearing my old baggy clothes! I won't be buying new clothes for a very long time because I have lots of old ones in lots of different sizes. Yes my tops are fine still, some of my jeans are a bit baggy, but I really don't want to drop a size just yet! I know I'm crazy, but I have my reasons.....really ... I would like to be able to wear nice dresses again though (but please don't tell anyone);)

Dresses? What are they then?
Well, I've been in a size 28 since forever, so have no clothes in different sizes other than my wedding dress (size 24 - 25 years ago - not white frills though so I would wear if I got to that size again).

I gave up on dresses and skirts when my ankles went all red and blotchy, but I'd love to wear sundresses again.

I'm not going to splurge out on clothes until I have to. I really need a new bra, but am holding off. They are so expensive, I don't want to buy one and then it's too big. I might have to get the sewing machine out though and do something about the clown trousers.

I 've been size 24 forever...but some of my size 24 stuff was nearer size 26. My wedding dress was a size 12! I suppose I gave up on dresses when the kids were small, it was easier to crawl about the floor tidying up their toys wearing jeans. Yes bras...I could do with some nice new ones.....but I'll wait until I'm smaller. Nearly all my trousers are jeans so I've just added another button! Thanks for this chat Rosie.....I think the reason that I haven't lost much weight for a month could be that I really don't want to wear different clothes, I'm a bit scared of going down to smaller sizes....yeh, I know...I start a thread about losing weight and then I find out it's not really what I want to do! Hmmmm.

I am in no way handy with a sewing needle despite getting that Brownie badge, but managed to adjust some of my big clothes just to see me through the transition phase during rapid weight loss. Have the opposite problem at the moment, but don't have a clue how to adjust for making the clothes bigger. Have that as an incentive to stop the decline, coz no intention of buying big again.

Get measured for well fitting bra (sorry blokes, girly stuff alert). Worth spending on as clothes fit and look better. Also much more comfortable if you are big.

Hey @zand. I have been having a mental battle with that too. You really will feel better the more weight you lose, honest. If you can afford it treat yourself to some nice undies. Correctly fitted bras make difference to how clothes look, and help posture too.

Yes, but you needn't think I'm letting some strange woman measure me! I am still having nightmares at what happened at the airport on the way to Boston. You should be able to choose whether you want a man or a woman feeling your boobs for like.... 5 minutes! I went to pieces. It really was not nice.
