Few questions from somebody undergoing diagnosis

Unfortunately my mum lives 100 miles away so I don't think she'll be taking me to any appointments lol. the main issue is she gets so flipping anxious over anything at all. When I found out I had asthma you'd have thought I'd been given a death sentence...when she found out I was dyslexic you'd have thought the world was coming to an end...when I was in hospital with a dodgy ovary (that one was serious though) she drove the staff mad ringing up all the time to see if I was ok (I had a phone and was texting her so she could have asked me)...goodness knows what she'll do if she finds out I'm diabetic. It feels like I have to protect her from everything for her own sake. It's complicated...she's lovely...but complicated!

I haven't told my mum at all and I live with her! She's mentally ill and has a host of problems. Agoraphobic. Her mental illness is strange, people have tried to diagnose her and even the experts are left baffled. It's like she has a mixture of allsorts.

My dad is like my best friend, we've always been very close.

Ah so it sounds like you know where I'm coming from then :)
