Happy bouncing bunny, Kimbo! Well done. Must have been a bit scary being involved in the bomb threat. Good luck tomorrow.
Thank you bluetit! Once again I'm going in tomorrow with the knowledge I'm doing well, prepared for the predicted "advice" just hope my results match my recorded levels of late !
Think it's only after the event you think "what if" ...... doesn't normally happen in sunny skegness!!

I had 4.3. Had an hour of walking after dinner which brought the sugars down at bedtime.
After breakfast I started to have blurred vision on my left eye, and had it checked out, finding out that I have increased ocular pressure...The docs are investigating and they're thinking it's glaucoma. :( so had a lot of tests, was in the hospital the whole day,not a good day. Good that we had our guests this evening coming from America and kept us company at dinner, kept my mind off things for awhile :)

Oh sorry to read about the eye problem. I hope the docs get to the bottom of it and that it isn't as bad as you are probably imagining

Thanks for the encouragement, @Bluetit1802. Yes I'm taking acetazolamide to decrease the eye pressure and my left eye is sore and bit red at the moment..:) the medication side effect is hyperglycemia. My husband got worried too. But I'll be okay :) hope so too that the docs will sort it out for me *fingers crossed*.

I'm happy for you @kimbo1962, seen that your levels are going down from previous readings--well done!:)

7.7 for me yeay. no brekkie as was having blood test at 8.30, tested for hba1c, thyroid, renal, cholesterol.

Dying to find out what hba1c has got down to in 10 weeks - it was 164 - suppose its asking too much to get down to 64 that i need for my operation - but i'll know when i ring them up tomorrow afternoon for the results

Am trying to drink more water am on 2nd pint so far today as i'm definitely not drinking enough.
Still don't know results, it's Wednesday half day closing I forgot.

So ashamed of myself....

And the fasting BG doesn't help!

6.8 :(

Diagnosed prediabetic Easter 2014. Just left to get on with it, no guidance or help from GP. Every day I'm learning something new.

5.1 for me too today! Right.......Breakfast and then off to the DN for last weeks bloods, first since diagnosed 6 weeks ago ; )
Well.....I'm back!! Had to update my signature now too..............current (well bloods taken 10 days ago) HbAc1 now 53 !! My cholesterol is 3.7.......got a gold star and praised lots!! In all my excitement I forgot to ask to get weighed ( I didn't want the figure but to find out the drop!) DN did comment that I looked full of life and said my jeans were looking very loose though!!

Brilliant Kim, well done. The hard work is paying off, and that's only after 6 weeks so some of that HbA1c will have been for the period before diagnosis as it averages over the previous 2 to 3 months. You must be over the moon. Congratulations. :)

What was your cholesterol at diagnosis?

Thank you Bluetit!! Yes, I thought the same regarding the time period!! My cholesterol wasn't done at diagnosis, it was only the DN who tested when i saw her for the first time last tuesday, nurse practitioner never mentioned it- I was expecting to be told it was high due to lchf.........but I'm obviously doing that right!
