Hello everyone,
my name is Diego and I am actually from Canada.
I am a little bit confused about glucose intolerance....
My previous doctor diagnosed me with that because, according to him, while my fasting glucose level was over 6, my level after 2 hours after eating was normal....
This was about a year or so ago....
I have moved to a different province now and (this on a meter at home) my fasting is 7.4 and my level after 2 hours is 7.3.
How do I interpret these figures?

Hi Diego, welcome to the forum. A fasting level of 7 or more, is usually regarded as being diabetic. A reading of 7.8 or under is generally regarded as non-diabetic, 2 hours after a meal. However, after meal readings depend on what you have eaten. Many diabetics get "non-diabetic readings after meals, because they avoid all sugars, starches and carbohydrates. You may be on the edge of diabetes - not quite there yet, but very much at risk, in other words, pre-diabetic. If this is the case, weight loss (if needed) and restricting your sugar intake, might just save the day. There is lots of information on this forum and associated site.
Best of luck
Sally

Thank you soooo much. Yes that is what my previous doctor had told me....
BTW, the reading after meal,....consisetd of a muffin, so perhaps not enough to give a proper testing
