What have you eaten today?

breakfast bacon, mushrooms, egg
lunch 12g cheese, slice ham, two pickled onions( not hungry)
dinner ragu, courgette pasta, cheese and salad
snack 75g of white nectarine- 5.4 at 1hr 4.8 at 2 calling that a win.
 
Well, today is my birthday, so it was treat night :)

Bit rubbish really foodwise...had one of those tiring weeks where I've struggled with energy :(

Breakfast - cheese omelette
Lunch - another cheese omelette
Snack - 2 nairns cheese oat cakes with cheese
Dinner - goats cheese and tomato bruschetta (1 small slice bread), rib eye steak with chips and buttered cabbage, chocolate tart. It was a posh restaurant and the portion sizes were very small.
BG before dinner - 5.9, 2 hrs after dinner 5.5!
I have a feeling that meal is going to sneak up on me overnight and give me a high fasting result tomorrow - that's usually what happens if I eat more carbs or eat dinner later at night. We'll see. Back to LCHF tomorrow :)
 
Breakfast: cheese and spring onion omelette, ketchup.
Lunch: savoury muffin - improved recipe so now it's cheddar, jalapeño, sun dried tomatoes, onion granules...nom nom. Fennel tea.
Dinner: leftover Quorn and veg Thai curry, coconut lime cauliflower rice.
Snack: ounce of almonds - increased my hours at work so now need a play piece :p

I woke up feeling fairly dopey, so Mr B took one look at me and said 'Maccies for breakfast then!'
Which was odd.
However, never one to sink to a challenge, off we toddled.

Brekkie: double sausage n egg muffin thing, hash brown and latte
Ate half the hash brown and took the bottom off the muffin burger thing. I reckon 15 g carbs in the food, then 13g in the latte. Too many, but doable.

Lunch: pork scratchings and Brie (zero carb)

Dinner: not hungry. Bit of beef stew with leek and peppers carbs fairly irrelevant, with the protein.

Late snack: cherries, 200g!!! So unbelievably divinely delicious that 1 turned into 3, then 15, then all of them. Possibly the best cherries I have ever tasted. And now there aren't any left! :bigtears: Approx 28g carbs.
 
ooh just remembered I have cherries in fridge. Maybe tomorrow's treat.
 
Ethel, surrender the cherries to B now. You know resistance is futile.
 
Yep this weeks batch of cherries only lasted a day before they disappeared...as if by magic. I swear my fridge just eats things sometimes...
 
8 year old birthday tomorrow. Off to the pirate themed restraunt. Tgen cake after. Ive been carb good-calorie bad-ish this week and Im getting weighed in the morning. Please send good wishes I am nervous!!!
 
Well the birthday cake caught up with me...had a lovely 7.6 this morning (previous morning highest recently was 6.4 I think). :eek:

Booooooooo to cake!!!

No more cake...

Yesterday
Breakfast - 2 steamed eggs, 3 strips bacon at work in the company cafe

Lunch - left over veggies stir fry (zucchini, onion, carrot, garlic, cabbage). Topped with some homemade dry rub smoked beef brisket

Dinner/supper - large taco salad (iceberg lettuce, spicy ground beef, mushrooms, grated cheese, sour cream, salsa). Really missed the corn chips. Not so much the flavour, but the crunchy texture.

Evening snack. 2 squares 85% chocolate. Found that I sleep deeper and better with a bit of chocolate in the evenings.

Tracked down some 90% on sale the other day and grabbed a few bars (8) that I will stash away. Been searching for the elusive 99%, but thus far no luck at a reasonable cost.
 
Guys I havent lost a thing despite being so carb good. I think Im going ti have to go another route. The weight loss is extremely important to me and Im getting nowhere fast. You lot have been very supportive xxx
