STOPTOVER, Smoke free October.

Oh poor Totto, do get an ecig and give it a go. You never know, you might be like me and find it easy, even though I have smoked on and off since I left junior school and was on 40+ when I stopped. The only thing I really miss is the 'time out' bit, because an ecig isn't a dangerous burny thing that needs to be concentrated on like a sparkler until it dies. I thought I needed a cigarette to calm me down, wake me up, reward myself, digest a meal, accompany a coffee or a drink and get me ready for sleep. Turns out I was wrong! Who'd a thought it.

Im a smoker, gave up for a year put too much weight on so started again
Gave up on Champix it was very easy.
I used o stop ... between cigs.
ha's what you've done.
It was that easy your still puffing away doesn't acually make any sense P.

I am now off to bed and tomorrow I will have to take on a whole new identity, as a non-smoker. Oh well. Oh hell. Be that as it may, I still love the fags.

I know that one lol. On day 4 with champix but head is all over the place, not like me as I live in the NOW but miles away atm. Anyways Good luck.

I decided my stop date would be after the last market for the season. The last market is tomorrow, so I will stop on Sunday and I am terrified. It feels as if my life is over. I really, really love smoking. I can say it over and over again, I love smoking.

I do however know, theoretically, it is bad for me. But what has theories to do with love?

On Sunday I will start reading up on the risks of smoking combined with diabetes. Oh, I so love to smoke! But I will take reason and see that I actually like my limbs and to be alive better than to smoke and die too soon, as is the other option.

I will be sensible. On Sunday I will start to stop smoking.
Now I will lay my head to rest. Tomorrow I am supposed to rise as a completely new person.
Cheer me on, please. I need it.

Totto good luck,we only realy smoke to stop us wanting one.
I have no room to talk as I wont be stopping until Monday.
Hope you have got e cigs to start you off.

I have patches and some kind of spray. And an appointment the 16th with the anti-smoking nurse who is a sensible person and full of support.

So this is it? I go to bed and rise again with a new identity? As a new woman? Like Jesus?

To put your old life at rest and be new born?

Oh hell, oh Jaysus, this is difficult.

As I love to smoke indeed But I shall not do it anymore.

Se you soon. I really don't know to cope.

5 days in, still an ex smoker, so far so good.

Personally not a problem at the moment, am using ecig.

Come on peeps how's things?

How the **** do you make the patches stick properly and then keep being stuck?

That seems to be my main problem.

Feel a bit lost this morning with only coffee and no fags but otherwise fine.

I use the strongest patches, 21mg/24 h and I also got a small bottle of some kind of spray for emergencies, 1 mg/spray.

@Totto
Sorry can't assist with that, I am using ecigs to assist, pleased that you are still off the cigs.

I think I am being lucky so far , no cravings even though only on 50% vapour, but still early doors
After some 45 years I wonder when you start to get some benefits?

We shall have to wait and see, good luck

Feel rotten now. Really rotten. I know it is only withdrawal and it will pass.
