Contacting Animas

New pump arrived yesterday, I've named it Basil as the last one was apparently faulty..... ;)
The battery display was always showing as full, even just before low battery alarm would sound. During the week I had noticed the pump hot and a while later the alarm sounded for low battery.
My concerns were temp of insulin in pump and lack of any indication that the battery was anything but full until the alarm sounded. As we know from Spiker' s thread, you don't get a lot of time once that alarm sounds.

Thankfully Animas were swift in dealing with it once I braved up to picking up the phone and ringing them.

Glad you are all sorted out! What was their customer service like? I have only contacted them via email so far to ask questions prior to choosing my pump and they didn't seem to hot on replying! Had you had the pump for long? I'm a little worried about their reliability after recent postings!

I've always found them slow to reply to emails. On the phone though, they are very helpful and efficient. I'll be picking up the phone in future rather than emailing if I have any questions for them.

I've had the pump since April. This was only the second battery change I'd done with it. Otherwise it had been working well with me and I like the vibe.

I've never tried email but their phone service is spot on I've found both fr pump and CGM issues.

I normally use the phone, but when I have asked for an email followup to a phone call, it usually comes next working day.

Btw I don't have any worries at all about Animas customer service or about the reliability of the Vibe. It is rock solid. It just has a few features that are a bit clunky and could be improved. I wouldn't swap mine. Well, only for a pump with a good remote AND Dexcom CGM compatibility.
