Who wouldn't?

Logic be damned. Who cares about monitor error margins. Our eyes can't help but respond to what they see in front of them.

8.1 Eeek!

I ran out of Metformin on Monday. Yesterday I went to the chemist to collect it. Here's the conversation I had:

Me: Hello. I've come to collect the prescription I put in last week.
Assistant: I only ordered it for you today..It won't be in until early next week
Me: Not till today? But I brought the prescription in a week ago
Assistant: Yes, I know but someone put it in the wrong pile
Me. But I ran out on Monday
Assistant: It'll be in on Monday or Tuesday next week.
Me. May I speak to the pharmacist? (He's about 14 and gets very stressed, probably because of things getting put in the wrong piles)
Pharmacist: When did you last take your Metformin?
Me: Monday. Could you let me have an emergency supply perhaps?
Pharmacist. How many do you take a day?
Me: 4
Pharmacist: Here's 12. Your prescription will be in early next week...:banghead:

Well this is a bit scary. My fasting was 8.1 this morning about 6.30. Had my usual cup of tea. Just tested before my breakfast and its 12.2??????? What is it! I've washed hands tested 3 times. Just opened a new pot of strips and I'm 13!!!! SOS. Anyone??

And now 15.....going to ring a medic friend :(
Not liking your posts for obvious reasons but keep us posted.

If your levels continue to rise despite not taking in any food consider taking yourself to the nearest A&E if you get in 20s.
