A huge liver dump this morning, after waking up at 5,3 I rode the bike to the tennis club, played tennis fot an hour and rode back home before having breakfast.

Result - my glucose level shot up to 6,8. :-(

This exercise induced rises have been more of a problem since I cut down on metformin.

But at least I won the game against my coach

And it is a really glorious Saturday morning

Pavlos

Morning Pavlos, My metformin has not changed, but simular happened to me yesterday.

Was in my BS readings yesterday.

4.6 Pre Dinner 2Bacon, 2Eggs, 2Tomatoes, Handful of mushrooms, 1/2 slice fried Burgen, 3/4 slice of buttered burgen toast
4.7 1hr Badminton
5.1 2hr Badminton
6.0 3.5hr Just arrived at Pub

This surprised me because normally when I do exactly the same each week but the food would be different I would normally be in the 6s at the hour or early 7s.

It was minus 7 degrees here last night. I took the dog a trot round the garden at 11pm. The grass was solid with frost, and the cars looked like igloos. No better this morning.

5.4 at bedtime
5.6 this morning.

Minus 7 ????

Good heavens. Even for me that's cold BT :)

Dog must love you for that :) Mike

5.2 this morning.
I'm at my daughters, picking her up to start the christmas holidays. (and seeing if they have 'broken' the house)
We went down the pub last night, 3 pints of a very nice, far too sweet, and far too alcoholic christmas ale, a tikka wrap, and a chocolate hobnob, so I'm even more pleased with a figure in the 5's.
It looks like a good precursor to christmas.

For me, my fasting looks like a very simple guide to the amount of 'reserves' I have available.
When I was on the Newcastle diet, I was regularly in the 4's.
But I felt it, and seemed to run out of energy quite quickly.
But on the upside, I could eat a high amount of food, (relatively) and instead of my BG going up, it seemed to simply fill up the reserves, and I got more energy back, trickle fed as it were, later throughout the day.

I'm not on the diet now, and my fastings have slowly crept into the low 5's.
I feel a lot better, I can do a lot more, without running out of energy, but I also know if I overeat, the excess will 'spill' into my bloodstream, and my BG will go up. Unless I exercise, to 'bleed off' the excess into the muscles.

So, definitely pleased I'm in my preferred target of low 5's today, I feel better, keep going longer, don't feel the 'need' to eat, and I have another christmas market she's taking me around later today to fill up on mulled cider and christmas nibbles.

Sunny and mild here on the south coast ....:p

Arnica cream for the bruise. Best applied straight away but still helps later on. Fingers still look heavily bruised so reapplied this morning. Had to turn Lancet depth up a notch to get decent bleed to test wth cold weather. Hot water washing no longer helping
:(. By the way to you guys in colder climes it's a warm, balmy 1℃ after slight overnight frost

Thank you! Couldn't find my Arnica cream so have lashed Aloe Vera on it last night and again several times this morning. Will get my GP to take a look at it on Tues when I go for my results.

Great numbers and effort @dianagrace well done.

Fine and a bit chilly in south Devon, it must be a bit warmer further east!

5.3 here this morning, need to go and buy a new battery for my meter, got to the rubbing-battery-on-jumper-vigourously stage to keep it going.

3.9 for me. This is fast becoming my go-to number. It's my fasting average over 7 and 14 days, with 4.0 over the longer 30 and 90 day averages. Curious.

We're off out to lunch now (a fairly lengthy drive to get there), with Mr B's family. It's his grandson's birthday in the next few days, so this is his birthday lunch. It'll be fun, but boy are they all growing up. :woot::woot:

Play nicely boys and girls. This is the season of goodwill after all. ;)

5.7 before dinner
5.7 after
5.2 fasting

Had a terrible day yesterday as had carbs in lunch with a piece of cake but couldnt do a 2 hour reading then had more white carbs in dinner but it did not shoot me up. Have been very naughty yesterday so will try to be very nice to myself for mext whole week or atleast till christmas.

I do feel for you. The cold weather won't be helping. Take care.

Thanks- no it's not helping much- I've had a good few good years but between anxiety, diabetes and the cold winter it was bound to flare sometime.n excuse to buy a new thick coat and some winter boots that don't gape round my thinner calves methinks.

Same here, although I have no idea what the temp dipped to. But it's 11am now and it's still frozen solid out there. Rather beautiful if you're tucked up inside in the warm though. Beautifully sunny now, so hopefully it'll defrost out there.

It's always beautiful through glass! Still all frosty and frozen here, too, and snow forecasted for tomorrow evening. I hope it misses us.
