I saw an article yesterday showing research that suggests that laughing can help to stabilise blood sugar levels. It seems to be quite good evidence...

Could laughing be used as a treatment or for clinical purposes?

Would be an interesting and fun way to help with blood sugar control...

Here is the article if you want a read:

Very interesting article thanks for the link,I believe it is good to laugh.

I would imagine that laughter reduces stress and exercises the diaphragm so it probably makes sense.

As long as it's not hysterical laughter brought on by the comments of HCPs, then I don't see the harm in trying!:)

Can't beat having a good laugh, if it helps lower bg levels then all the better :)

I need to laugh a lot ,havent tested this weekend ,to scared to with everything I have eaten and wine I have had.

Yep, it releases the 'happy' hormone in the brain and has proved to be beneficial to patients with depression

The good thing is Patricia - having done many an experiment hic you may have been okay because certain drinks help to bring your bs down lol there is a whole thread on it :)

Patricia, What do you call a fish with no eyes ?
A fsh. If you get this then you will automatically reduce your BG by 0.5 mmol/l. (dunno but sounds good lol)
