Feeling a little blue this morning. The xmas season on your own isn't the best but I decided this morning to try on a pair of jeans that I bought in the January sales "in hope". (Ladies you'll know what I mean lol). @Scandichic

They fitted!! Yay. In a size 12!! never ever been a 12 in my adult life!

Sadly no~one to share this glorious news with. But I logged in here & find I have been awarded a new trophy.

Seriously Likeable!

So to all those people who have "liked" me, (& I hope will continue to like me) I say thank you for cheering me up & hope you don't mind me sharing my good news with you.

P.S. probably posted this in wrong section, but I do get a little confused lol

Congratulations you must of been thrilled to get into your jeans,I know I would of.image.jpg

great news with the jeans
i long to get into a size 18 jeans

Well look at you... dont you look skinny in therm jeans. I dont think I could get a size 12 over my kneecap :)

I long for the time when I can say that... right now I would settle for a size 16 pair and being able to sit down in them

At my heaviest I was about 19 stones & a size 22/24. Now 10st 3.5lbs. Would love to be 9st something for new year. Can't believe I'm even thinking in terms of 9st something. Got to love lower carbs & higher fats.

Oh well done!! Congratulations and Merry Christmas to you. Enjoy those size 12 jeans! Carry on like this and you will need a belt to keep them up.

I'm feeling a bit of a fraud really cos losing weight wasn't really my intention. Just wanted to get my numbers down. 2 years ago I was regularly in the 30s & often my meter said "Hi". Think you can all imagine how rough I was feeling. Was on Met 1000 td, Glic 80 td Ramp & Simvastatin. Now just on Met & hope to reduce that soon as blood does run a bit lower than I'd like sometimes. (Sat eve I had a 2.5) But cutting down the carbs has been so easy & the weight has dropped off. As someone who has struggled with their weight all their adult life, it's been a real eye opener.Just rescued my old diaries & in 1979 I was 10st 11lbs, 1994 15st 10lbs 2009 13st 13lbs, 2012 12st 13lbs, 2013 12st 4lbs 2014 11st 6lbs. So weight rose over the years (a few traumas didn't help) but lost most of it over the last 2 years once I joined here & got into the lower carbs & higher fat.

Hope this post isn't too long or rambly!

Many, many thanks for all your comments

Well done on the weight loss and maybe buy a size 10 in the sales;-)

Lol CE I think a 10 at my age may be a little too thin to aim for. I wish I could do some sort of toning exercises as I have some baggy skin. But with knackered knees & wrists I'm struggling to find anything that will help tone up inner thighs & bingo wings. Every silver lining has a cloud lol lol

I'm in same boat with arms - thighs aren't too bad as I make myself use exercise bike. I bought set of arm weights and use them occasionally but my frozen shoulder doesn't much like them. 12 is great size. It's what I'm aiming for( currently a 14) as I bought a dress in a 12 I'm determined to wear at friend's wedding next year.

It was after uni I started to struggle. I was a size 12. Then it crept up to 16. Then I was a 14 when I met my hubbie in my mid 20s. I then crept up to a 22 but then came down to a 16. Then I went up to an 18 before we got married and then crept back up to a 22 And stayed there for over 10 years! Basically I gave up. Then I had the diagnosis on the 28th of Jan, came on here in a state of panic and Totto recommended diet doc and the weight has just diminished by 3 stone 13lbs! My bs last night after dinner an hour after eating was 5.5! I only take 1 met per day instead of 3! Refuse statins as they make me so forgetful I can't remember my own name! I am now 1lb away from not being obese! I cannot praise this diet enough! I'm never hungry and I eat yummy food. Of course I miss cake and sweets as well as crisps. Probably miss pizza the most. I have the odd pack of crisps now and then and if I must have cake then I have half a piece. It's enough and doesn't raise bs too much. Can't wait till size 12. Am currently 14-16.
