5.3 here this morning, after a 4.7 preprandial and 5.7 at +2 last night. I've also dropped under 70 kg (69.9) which I don't necessarily want to do, but no panic yet.

Blips over for both of us, hopefully. My weight at long last has stabilised, albeit 2lbs under where I would prefer to be.

Oh dear, not another bad batch. Mine end in 72.

A warning

I had a chaotic evening with my strips last night. An hour after tea the reading was fine. Then I put the tub in my pocket whilst watching TV. At 2 hours I got them out to test, and the tub was really warm. Opened it and took a strip - also really warm. Took a reading and it was ridiculous! Took another, equally ridiculous. Took one with my Accu Chek - much more realistic. Left the tub to cool down and took another reading at 2.5hrs. Still ridiculous. At 3 hours it was reading the same as my Accu Chek. Clearly the tubs don't like being too warm in a pocket. Thank goodness I only have one strip left.

I've had some high'ish readings over the last couple of days. Wonder if the strips being in a cold'ish place affects readings? Will move them qnd find out!

There have been times, when we are elsewhere that the ambient temperature is over 32c and I haven't noticed any difference in how the strips behaved.

If, on the other hand, there was any room in my house at less than 2c, I'd be leaving home!!

Fasting level this morning after somewhat longer than my usual few hours sleep: 5.8
Again after I'd slept all day: 6.3

2 hours later when testing before dinner, up to an abysmal 7.5 :wideyed:

And I foolishly thought I might be getting back on track again...:(

Well I've just done my 2hrs after dinner test, and it's just so slightly up at 7.8.

What I fail to understand is why I can keep my after meals levels pretty flat and usually within non-diabetic guideline targets, when my pre-meal levels are now generally so lousy....

Hi guys, not had time to read all posts today, just a quick skim. 4 small boiled spuds, one carrot in chunks, salmon filets with liberal amounts of butter 5.8 pre 5.4 post :-). Treated myself to a very naughty................ Wait for it..............
Delicious, crunchy, juicy Cox apple. Now I'd never thought I'd call an apple naughty ;-).

5.3
5.3 post dinner,
6.6 Bed. That was 2hrs after having an asad mince pie with 25g of asdas ice-cream, squirty cream from lidl & a dash of bounty syrup to top it off. Naughty but YUMMY.

Had 4 mince pies earlier. No rise at all BUT it was homemade mincemeat and pastry made with soya flour. "Interesting" side effect - soya flour is made wth soya beans, right, and beans have a certain reputation ......was home alone ;), apart from dogs.
