Had 4 mince pies earlier. No rise at all BUT it was homemade mincemeat and pastry made with soya flour. "Interesting" side effect - soya flour is made wth soya beans, right, and beans have a certain reputation ......was home alone ;), apart from dogs.
I got some soya flour the other day to make some mince pies but not found the time yet,Grrrrr , going to use mincemeat from a jar as it's got a low Gl, it's the pastry in shop brought that's bad.

If you've not used it before the pastry if very rich and delicate. Half fat to flour was too much, even 1/4 butter was still rich to roll. Next time will use circles of pastry on flat tray with 2nd one over top and crimp edges as was nigh impossible not to break them getting them out.

Interesting, would've thought it would be high

7.3 this morning. Had a lay in with hubby, so going to call it a liver dump.

Going to try and get back into a routine today, too many Christmas celebrations and I can't pass up the champagne, no more parties this week so bubbles and wine gone from my lips!

5.3 and back to my normal morning readings in the 5's.

Well it's off to the mad house (office) for a hectic week before Christmas week.

Have a great day all
