Glad you've got a "plan B" for when things get badThanks. I've had MS for 20 years now and tried many types of medication..I respond best of all to high 5 day course of steriods when I have a bad relaspe..its a pain but not as bad as it was when I was a young mum...I rest up when I need to now.
And nobody invited Diabetes to the party!! Lol
Glad you've got a "plan B" for when things get bad. Hope you're as fighting fit as you can get by Xmas. Got my bedroom to clean now while my fibromyalgia let's me - at my pace, and only one at once.... ;-)
Consider amounts of roasted root veggies AND don't forget abt the gravy.....
Its hard sometimes to pace ourselves isn't it? Esp at this busy time of year. Luckily my son is a great cook so he is taking over Xmas lunch turkey with all the trimmings and he is fantastic with vegetable dishes which will all be cheffy lol....we are having all the family and children to stay this year 14 of us....so I've been doing a bedroom a day v v slowly...wishing you a painfree Xmas as wellGlad you've got a "plan B" for when things get bad. Yes, I am used to doing the numbers but I was hoping for some pay back for my efforts to get well again.
Certainly is. Out of date GP.... to be polite!! More an autoimmune related disease. Have you ever been on fibromyalgia.co.UK website? I have, but not joined in forums muchOnly way, isn't it? I cleaned my kitchen windows last week and then knew about it for rest of week. I had hoped the fibromyalgia would improve with the Cbt for my anxiety as my old GP basically said it's a mental disease(!) but it hasn't. Hey ho.
Ah, understand.Yes, I am used to doing the numbers but I was hoping for some pay back for my efforts to get well again.
I've been extremely happy to read in nursing magazine that fibromyalgia is at long last being recognised for the serious illness it is..far too long its been lumped in with "syndromes". It causes an immense amout of suffering and at last money is available for intense research..one of my friends has it and at times she is so poorly she is bed bound...Certainly is. Ah, understand.
Have patience. It has taken me since April to cope with a roast dinner, and I have tried one every Sunday! Just about managed it if I dribble the gravy!
Mrs Nuthead says I'm a syndrome. Until now I thought it was a compliment..I've been extremely happy to read in nursing magazine that fibromyalgia is at long last being recognised for the serious illness it is..far too long its been lumped in with "syndromes". Just had a thought, I take amitriptyline at night and tho it is an antidepressant my bedtime dose is to relax the muscles to help me sleep which does help with the exhaustion side of things. Do you take your meds at bedtime?Only way, isn't it? I cleaned my kitchen windows last week and then knew about it for rest of week. Glad to hear that. Mine was caused by my accident, took nine years before anyone diagnosed it still.
The Israeli's did a lot of research on it, some years ago and found it could be caused by major trauma.
Lots of Dr's dismissed it for years as non existent, like they did with CFS.
