Hi everyone.
A nightmare week for us started on Monday when our daughter developed a heavy cold which quickly lead to fever. High bms and raging temp lead to an a&e visit on Tuesday. No infection present, sent home with general calpol advice. Xmas eve fever was continuing, high bms and ketones of 5.5, we were admitted to hospital for monitoring but luckily no dka. Her fever has now gone and her bms a lot more stable but ketones around 3 still present. We are encouraging her to drink to flush through but no improvement. Any advice please ? She is bright and very much awake so I'm not too worried but I just wonder how long it takes for ketones to disappear ?
