Hi Guys,

I know this won't mean a lot to many of you but I thought I would celebrate with you guys as I have tried explaining what this means to my family but they don't fully understand the importance of the numbers and I wanted to share them with people who would understand my excitement!

After being diagnose on October 17th, 2014, I was running at a very high BG level and admitted to hospital immediately as my HbA1c came back at 157 (UK Measurement). I am proud to say I was retested not even two months later on December 8th, 2014, and had a new HbA1c of only 57!

Like I said, just wanted to share this with people who actually understand the numbers :)

Regards,
James

Wow, wow, wow!! That is quite an seismic improvement. Very well done.

For the benefit of others who may be at the start of their journey, what did you do to make the difference?

Amazing result, congratulatons! As others have said: What have you done to get such a dramatic result?

Hi Guys,

I did all of the simple things like I changed from normal squash to NAS squash, I also made sure that I changed my diet completely and I feel alot better for it! I have actually started to learn how to cook after 23 years of delaying it and eating pre packaged foods and have found that simple things like stir frys are perfect for cutting down on carbs, besides, can you ever eat too much veg?

I have found that Google is infinitely full of low carb recipes and I was proved wrong after I thought they would all taste horrendous!

I now also have an exercise plan with a local gym coach who is happy to just see me once every three months to make sure I am making good progress. Walking has become a bigger part of my life as I really enjoy a casual stroll as that's a good way to unwind and stay healthy.

This year I intend to start cycling to work (When it's not horrific weather) to cut that level even more.
