Advice welcome plz

I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes last year and put on insulin. After my daughter was born I stopped all treatment and had a glucose blood test 6 weeks later. Although my results came back normal, they were on the higher side. Anyway 5 months have passed but lately I've been really thirsty and really lethargic. I still have my old monitor and first thing this morning my reading was 6.7. Does this sound normal for a non diabetic ? Putting off going to the dr as I don't want to waster their time
 
You would be classed as pre diabetic if you had a couple of such readings done with equipment at the surgery. My opinion is you should see your doctor about now since there are things a pre diabetic can do to slow down the progress of the condition.

Come back to this forum and ask questions when you get the result.
 
This is so embarrassing but the longer I leave it the worse I feel and some of you may already have noticed that when I post, my avitar then covers someone elses, sorry about this I don't know how it happened or what I should do to stop it happening HELP I use my Kindle Fire and must admit I'm not very technically minded, thanks
 
The screen and avatar look fine to me. Maybe it is just your screen?

Re your BG reading:
I would definitely make a doc appt.
The surgery could do an HbA1c on you. Fasting readings sometimes vary by quite a lot (mine vary from 5.7 up to 8.5), so you could have tested on a low day.

Best to get it checked out.

If you mean on the list of threads, your avatar does that to denote a thread you have posted on? That's what mine does. Sometimes I'm mortified by how many threads I've posted on!! I'm using Google Chrome.

Had me really worried but as long as nobody else is affected by it that's ok I thought it was me messing up many thanks for your reply

You have at least pre diabetes or even "full" type 2 diabetes. Some more blood sugar measurements are needed for precise diagnose, before meals and two hours after.

On your site I would see a doctor and then choose between official "balanced" treatment and low-carbohydrate approach.

Don't postpone treatment. It can improve your health fast.
