I was 8.1 before breakfast of black coffee and porridge made with water, 2 hours later 8.0
Have not had my morning walk yet, too frosty.
Are those reading good but or what?

As @cold ethyl said, it is good your porridge didn't spike you at 2 hours, but your fasting was high, which made your post meal high.
What sort of levels are you seeing during the day, pre-meal and post-meal? Have you tested at bedtime to see what happens overnight?

Back down to 4.2 this morning after yesterdays 5.8. Before dinner was 3.6 last night and 5.4 post dinner.

Have listed food etc. Any advice?
Hi MillySue... Welcome.... Porridge spikes me and so does any kind of bread, except my own almond and flax bread... Some of us often have quite high readings in the morning because of liver-dump, but it should go down if you eat LCHF....

Dinner was aroung 6.30pm. I had 1 babybell later not sure what time. Bed around 10.30 I dont sleep well havnt for years. I read until 1am
Hi milliesue, looking at your days menu for thurs' ,porridge is high in carbs ,what oil do u cook with ?

Okay, what was my fasting level?

8.0 Codefree. Yikes! Retest 6.3. OneTouch 5.0

After a trip to Curves, still no breakfast. Codefree 6.3. OneTouch 5.4

Anyone who can make sense out of that wins the low carb cake of their dreams!

What batch number are you using on Codefree? Several of us are having issues with the one ending in 44.

Ah ok. I had that batch last time and I had a couple of pots that threw some real anomalies. I think several of us had similar issues but not as bad as current batch 44.

I cook with Flora oil, but seeing the lchf I am adding a knob of butter.
I dont think the porridge is too high for me.
I am a veggie, could not face eggs first thing.

From what I can gather from other threads and posts, the Codefree reads slightly higher than some other meters. It certainly has always read a tad higher than my Accu Chek mobile, but higher is better in my opinion or there could be a false sense of security. I would suggest your reading of 8 was simply a rogue reading for whatever reason. Which of the readings on fasting the most normal? Do you normally go up/down/flat when you go to Curves before eating? Your Codefree implies you are flat, the One Touch implies you went up. Which is most likely? Maybe you can work something out from this.
