Rise of 2.7 ?

Yes, unfortunately. Dinner was quorn with peppers and about 150g of Tesco ready made chicken tikka masala. Had some cashews and raisins afterwards. Didn't think it would cause such a spike. Maybe need to remove the cashews and raisins from the menu. Looking at my chart I think they work fine with a very low carb meal but otherwise they cause a spike.

Too good ladies and thanks blue :)

Been a heck of a journey but hardly need to tell that to the great people I know here :) Odd how this condition (and others) unites people from all corners of the globe and inspires a huge degree of compassion and empathy I thought had long died.

We certainly are a unique little band of lovely folk here @Mike D!! Long may we continue!

I wouldn't call 6.5 a spike as such. It may have been a rise of 2.7 but only if the 3.8 was accurate. If it was a favourite meal as opposed to a one off, why not try it again sometime, just to confirm?

Not a favourite as such but yes my wife cooks it frequently so will see what happens next time.

6.1 ::(( stress i think, going for an mri at st thomas's hospital tomorrow afternoon, prostate giving me cause for concern.nite nite .

Pre-dinner = 4.4
Post-dinner = 5.1

No cashews and raisins tonight. Substituted it with cream and blueberries and has worked much better.

didn't test much yesterday as out all day and night.

when i got home 6 batch 44 5.6 batch 26 so I'll av at 5.8
pre lunch a who knows as every batch said something different twice! going with 6.2 av- bit high but meals have all been funny today as travelling home.

This morning fasting was 5.3 (accu chek) and 6.2 (batch 44)
However, an hour after breakfast I was 7.0 on both meters.
This tells me the batch 44 was most likely the correct one for fasting and the Accu chek was too low.

Over the week the Accu chek average is 6.0, the Codefree 44 is 6.3. BUT the week before I started batch 44 my Codefree average was also 6.3. So no difference over a week between previous batch and batch 44. My Accu Chek seems to read significantly lower than my Codefree, all things being equal.

I've finished the cassette on my Accu chek so am now back to using only batch 44.

Is that codefree average a meter average or an average after you've discarded readings?
