Yes, quite trueBut that's very good...![]()
Like meAre you on meds? A lot of us low-carb to stay off the meds, and some of us low-carb and respond so well that we stop any meds at all, or reduce them... The lucky ones are the ones who are pre-diabetic and discover this forum before they begin to take meds...![]()

5.4 today and been to see the GP for my latest HbA1c results. From a eye-watering (literally) 102 in August 2014 the latest result was 39! Been testing for two months and my average in that time across all testing has been 5.2 - pretty pleased with that
You're always there with the bon mot..Yes, quite true. Quite happy with my 5s. Just making the point that so called "normal" people cant necessarily achieve 4s
so not to worry abt not getting them..
As they always say on this forum.. 'tomorrow is another day'... forget it and move on...As I sit here with the brasso polishing my halo I would just like to say that whilst all around me were eating their chippy lunches today I sat there with my 3 bean salad. Unusually my bs was 6.1 pre lunch (normally in the 5s midday) then down to 5.3 2hrs post lunch. work that one out, had the same brekky as always.![]()

Good morning from dusty Qatar! I liv off the Budaiyah highway - in Barbar... one of the older compounds with lots of lovely old trees and greenery... You would not recognise it now for sure... it's changing every day.... you need to pop over and see it..You would not believe what they have done to Adliya - all the restaurants there are so good now and they've cobbled the little streets and built fountains and flower beds...

Just a check up and first filling in my adult teeth so not too bad. Will let you know about ThursdayDentist as wellThat seems a bit unfair on top of everything else!! Hope it wasn't too bad... Good luck for Thursday...
wow! well done you, you must feel fantastic, i've lost nearly 2 stone now and feel great for it, I know I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't diabetic though, I would have fallen by the wayside a long time ago, so maybe I've got something to thank diabetes for...............Anyway over 5st is a fantastic achievement you should give yourself a huge pat on the backReally late on parade today! !
Fasting was 5.6
Today I had my appointment with my nurse to check how I'm doing meds free, I told her my average fasting and pre/post prandial, she decided to do my bloods today instead of april- but after two attempts couldn't get a drop! Think as I'd gone straight out this morning and only had my coffee and not my usual glasses of water during the morning I wasn't flowing! Now I shall have hba1c on the 19th. She had commented "look at you" when I walked in, asked what I was limiting food wise and this time when I told her seemed to praise low carb!! I asked to pop on her scales to see what had changed since Dec 30th, as I did I heard her take a sharp intake of breath then a big laugh- 13.2lbs loss!! Then more praise....
Now I need to update my signature again, my total now 5.15stones loss!!
As for my sudden, hot, heart racing, waking in the night I have to see gp but she agrees it was never the forxiga as he thought it may be as it's happening still so its more likely hormones as we thought
Tut tut tee tut lol, peel sticker off meter that says 9.1 lol9.1 again - this is getting boring!
