ally1,s BS levels

lunch 5.5 and 5.9 :)
my best set of results
Hi Ally, I haven't followed you for a while, but have just checked you out since the last time I looked and it's amazing how well you have done.

It's a dramatic improvement, be proud of yourself, not everybody can do what you have done and are doing.

The odd slip here & there, but it aint easy, especially coming from where your numbers started.

Well done Ally it will get easier.

Good going Ally. Well done. Its good to see levels now happening in 5's and 6's.

Odd let off days under the circumstances are not to be worried about. You still continue to shine!

It is so good to see that the food you are now eating isn't causing spikes in levels Ally. Some of the after lunch raises are so good you are beating the pants off non diabetics!!!

So well done Ally. You are exceptional as although you have a few days of blips they don't turn to weeks and reverting back.

So well done you:)

Hi ally and all. Well done you. I hope you can help me. I know you have struggled but look at you now!! Truth and whole truth. Was diagnosed 5 years ago and have lived in denial till 2 weeks ago. Bought myself a bg monitor. First test 2 hours after food was 14.6. Since then have had readings going down to 6.6. But tonight's was back up to 8.6. Am low carbing. Had beef cabbage and sprouts for tea and a little gravy. What am I doing wrong. I want to be in the
fives. Want to be in control. Sorry for panic. Not sure I have done this post in the right way so please excuse if I seem impolite.

Comfort.. 8.6 after food isn't initially too bad... Not enough to beat yourself up about!!

If you're only just taking renewed steps with diabetes then it could take a few weeks for body to adjust and start to realise that urs food source is changing and its concerting different qtys of fats/carbs to glucose etc.

Ref the 8.6 tonight. I assume tgat was after the food. To see actually hiw that food reacted you would need to have a pre meal test and see whether it raised you by say 4.0 or 0.4... Its the spikes that you need to iron out so to speak.

Do test first thing in morning too...

Ally has done do fantastic. She doesn't give herself enough credit.

You too can grab control too.xx

I'll let you know what the by level is in the morning. I do appreciate that you have replied. Many thanks

Thats good. Now really you need to see how you are pre breakfast and 2 hours after breakfast if you eat it. If not I would suggest seeing what your levels are 2 hours after getting up.
