A hefty 6.6 for me on both my batches( 44 had me at 7.5 which I have never been even at diagnosis) - feel like I'm brewing something just in time for my manic week next week in run up to Mr Ethyl's 50th do. What possessed me to say I'd do the food?

4.7 this morning, 4.3 yesterday, that will do me:D Off to DPN in 10 minutes, I already know my blood results from going on the desmond course, be interesting to see what she has to say. especially when I show the results of my study so far which clearly show the spikes after I have had carbs. she will probably dismiss it, its my first review since being diagnosed so we will see........

Do let us know how you get on, would love to be a fly on the wall.
Well done on you bs.
Cheers Sue

FBG 5.1

However... I was at BG 4.5 at 12pm...
I couldn't sleep.
Got up and had 2 babybel portions and 5 almonds
I waited a bit longer and ended up sleeping at around 2:30 am at that point BG was 4.7

In previous days when I have gone to bed so late the FBG went up to a higher level, today it doesn't seem that bad to me at all.

Just got back from DPN who says I have made her day, she is really pleased with my progress. my BMI is down to 29, hba1 is down from 66 to 41, weight is just a couple of pounds off losing 2 stones. blood test shows kidneys and everything else is fine. she has reduced my metformin by 1 a day so am on 3 a day now. if I continue in this way she will reduce it again in 3 months. i'm happy with that:D going to celebrate with bacon cheese and a staffordshire oatcake, they don't spike my bloods if I only have 1

There is always a choice, Lou. Health is more important than work, and you aren't long out of a long stay in hospital. Take care.

10! :-o

Appt with nurse this morning too, see what she says about fasting scores
No comment (lol), think your figures are getting higher over the past 3 weeks or more. Hope you are well and all goes well with your appointment with the nurse. :)

Thanks everyone I wouldn't be doing so well if it wasn't for the support from all of you on here
