Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

6.4 this morning on batch 26. My fasting readings have notched up slightly since stopping the Metformin I think though I wasn't often in fives on three a day of it either.
Maybe you have a cold starting or something? It's a bit disheartening, but tomorrow it will probably be 5.9.. :) Have a lovely Saturday... It is so nice to be home... :)

I am in pain with my fibromyalgia which won't be helping. That and the stress of using batch 44. Hope my new pots turn up soon. Enjoy being at home. Xx

So after my beautiful 4.6 in the early morning, 2 hours after my half breakfast I was in 5.2(being it the same breakfast for the last couple of days), however, this is about the same time I have been testing daily and it fits within the pattern of 5's at that same time everyday.

I will have the other half of my breakfast now, and see how the day goes.
That's excellent... a lot of us would love those readings anytime... :)

I was 4.9 this morning... :singing: It's so nice to be home... Good morning everyone and happy weekend... :)

Do I trust my codfree, not sure
Bedtime was 6.7 that was at 20 to midnight.
7.6 at 6am
Then at 8.30 just before breakfast: 7.4. Not sure to trust that did it again, 6.8. And again. 6.6
So do I take an average, she says scratching her head.

Breakfast, no porridge this morning, its yogurt and blueberries, not sure if it will keep me going till lunchtime. Grey out this morning. Come on dog, lets get the old bones moving.

Happ Valentine's to one and all.

If I did, it would be yours.... What did the doctors say on Thursday? Did I miss a post? This winter must seem like it's going on forever for you... :(
Glad your home ok. Doctors have referred me to local hospital for diabetes check with consultant in early march cause high levels of steroids are raising my blood sugar. Am on strong antibiotics for a week then go back for chest to be checked.
BS this morning 7.3 had a bad night.

6.3 - I think I'm just going to be one of those folk with normal bloods rest of day and a high fasting. Even the Metformin made little impact. Not helping that my fibromyalgia is in flare up so I'm in pain and feeling stressed. A lot if us seem to be struggling at the minute one way or other so big hugs to all who need it.
@Susikav think it was you who asked... I can only manage the spelt bread since losing over 5st. Initially even half a slice of very dark rye bread ( the ones out of packets) had me at over 8.
Blimey, you must have been working very hard... it's never easy though, is it? For sure if you're in so much pain it will push your numbers up... I'm sorry you're feeling bad again.... It's just such good news that you are off the metformin... wonderful... Maybe when the spring comes - and it's not far away as there are snowdrops everywhere - you will feel better... hopefully the weather will warm up soon.... I am going to try the bread from Lidl's that Eddie told me about and see how I go... I'll have to try and make it when I get back though - or fill a suitcase with it :) ... I always used to make my own spelt/rye bread as I have ulcerative colitis - never thought about what it was doing to my BG... How odd life is - someone posted that finding they were diabetic was the best thing that happened to them as it turned their life around... I think the same way... and all those years and years of denying myself cheese and cream, bacon and sausage etc.... It's not all bad being diabetic... :) You should rest today and spoil yourself if you can... feet up and a good book or the newspapers...

Yes novomix. 30
22 units in the morning and 14 units before dinner
1x500 metformin sr
I won't like it, meds are so awful, even though they help us... Hopefully, if you carry on low-carbing, you will reduce the quantites like a lot of the guys on here... Happy Valentine's, don't stress and have a lovely weekend if you can ...

What are you having for breakfast? Porridge an fruit is my favourite but i know it doesn't work for everyone
Crumbs, I wish... I cannot have that for breakfast any more... today I had a small avocado with soft goat's cheese, that funny bread toasted with butter and a tsp of raspberry conserve... Sable told me I could... :) It was lovely... Oops, wrong thread again... I'll get removed for sure... I hope your chest feels better today though... stay indoors and knit your lovely owls if you can... Happy Valentine's :)

Bummer.... But good news abut the consultant... I hope someone helps you properly soon... :)

5.3 for me :singing: and it's still cold n grey ..... Bonus though, more snowdrops are peeping through
Brilliant... :) Aren't they wonderful? Little brave things... the lanes were full of them yesterday... a harbinger of warmer weather with luck - everyone seems to be struggling a bit right now, and it's sure to be the grey weather... Happy Valentine's... :)

Back from Drs, 3 phials of blood taken, that's an arm & legfull to me.

3rd time was lucky.

Now hoping for the right result on Friday.

Watch this space.
Good....You're as bad as Tony Hancock with his empty arm... let us know how you get on... Happy Valentine's

Porridge seems ok for me and i can also have wheatabix both with fruit and unsweetened soya milk (dairy allergy ).
My plans for today are knitting a baby owl for friends 5 day old baby and starting the teddy bears for another friends wedding

I had a coffee with 100ml lactose free milk, 1min flax bun, goat cheese, tomato and pepperoni. I had half of the sandwich (flax bun), so really, not many carbs at all... I will try getting rid of the milk tomorrow and using cream instead and see how that goes. However, I have the feeling its not that closely related to what I eat but to slighter higher morning numbers in general. I'm still very pleased with those results though.
So you should be pleased... :) Your breakfast sounds perfect to me... A lot of us have higher than we'd like fasting numbers, but a sensible breakfast will stabilise that... hopefully... :) Happy Valentine's

I've already got snowdrops, soon the daffodils
Do you think there's a big difference in when the snowdrops appear between North and South?

6.1 Bedtime
8.9 Fasting

Fasting bs have been in the 8's all week. Something isn't right :(

I lost most of my snowdrops because of the wet ground down here last year.
We didn't flood but everywhere around us was under water for months and months. So I think the ground was saturated, even without flooding,
Wish I could have crocus, but the squirrels just treat them like I've planted them for their own personal buffet :banghead:
:hilarious::hilarious: Happy Valentine's

Could you have a cold starting? Or a bug of some sort? Are you stressing? Heavens, so many questions... :) I'll never understand why I am 6.5 one day fasting, and 4.9 another... maybe the quality of sleep? Anyway, Happy Valentine's and don't worry about it, your numbers will just go up... :)
