Snacks

Help!!!! What sort of things do people snack on please?
Mid-morning at work are always testing for me as everyone else in the office seems to be reaching for the chocolate bars and biscuits!

My favourites are a few carrot or celery sticks and a small pot of huomous or a mix of dried fruit, assorted nuts and pumpkin seeds.

Drat...feeling hungry now! :(

If u feel ur missing out dipping into the biscuit tin why not look online or in the health shops for some sugar free ones
There's plenty out there. They even sell them in boots. I wouldn't have too many tho but the occasional one won't hurt so u don't feel like your missing out

Those brownie bites sound lovely but a cup of dates isn't exactly sugar free,
No but the recipe did make 18 bites and you don't need to eat more than 1 a day to satisfy the 'treat' need. And figure that it is natural sugar rather than adding refined sugar.

Sadly sugar is sugar regardless of the source and I read the recepie as to give 8 portions or one a day for a week. That is one eights of a cup per day or something like 35-37 grams pf dried dates per day and that is almost pure carbs not to say pure sugar, natural or not it is still sugar.

I divided the same recipe into18 bites so will be half that? But yes, take your advice on board and will look for alternative 'treat' options. Will have to experiment using plant sweeteners instead. It's all rather new and still learning what I can and can't have!
