Just seen the 60% off offer from Diabetes.co.uk

"Did you know that @BetterThanFoods offer a great ‪#‎ZeroCarb‬, ‪#‎WheatFree‬, ‪#‎GlutenFree‬ pasta alternative for restricted diets? They’re made from the Japanese Konnyaku plant and are high in fibre so help you stay fuller for longer.
Try them now with our 60% off offer! Use the promotional code SAVE60 in the online store (min spend £20). Click here to purchase: http://bit.ly/1yvfsrd "

Has anyone tried them, are they good?

I have tried a similar product "Go Slim" I believe they are called and made from the same Japanese plant. I got them from Holland and Barrett when on sale. I threw the last two packets out. They are a decent alternative (although even more bland than regular pasta/noodles/rice, until you doctor them up with something). However, they had an extreme laxative effect on me. :(

Wise move i tried them yuk :(

I quite like the Slim Water ones and the Bare Naked Noodle ones but genrally only buy them when on promotion. I do find the portion size a bit off for me thought - the slim water ones I use about 1/3 a packet for a portion and the Bare naked ones about 1/2. might have a look and give them a try

I think that's the BareNaked range, let us know what they're like?

I've changed the title of this thread, thought it might be an idea to have an ongoing thread showing current offers? A lot of low-carb stuff is expensive so hearing about any offers will be helpful :)

Holland and Barrett currently have the 'Eat Water Slim' spaghetti, pasta and rice at half price :)
From what I can gather from various posts on here these are the second best alternatives, BareNaked being the best, is that right?

I used to eat them but they really upset my stomach- I bought myself a spiralizer and now make courgette noodles and they are great either quickly sautéed or if I have them with a heavy sauce like bolognese I just have them raw as the sauce softens them

Holland and Barrett have loads of stuff Half Price at the moment, and free delivery on orders over £20. Do they have these sorts of offers all the time?
I've not been in the shop very often as it's very difficult for me to park nearby - my everyday vehicle is dead and destined for the scrapyard so I'm using a long-wheel base Sprinter for everyday use, not ideal and terrible for parking in a town! So free delivery is a bonus on top of half price goods :)

That's for the 'Better Than' range, doesn't seem very popular on the forum, but if anyone has an offer on the BareNaked or Eat Water ranges I'd be interested, I've read good reports on them :)

Some of the prices on Amazon are ridiculous on the alternative stuff although I've just bought some low carb totilla wraps that someone here recommended. They're not on special offer but are free postage when part of an order of over £10.
