mean people, corrupt politicians, poverty, happy pharmaceutical ads;
When I became diabetic some years ago, everyone I told to, said nothing. The only exception was my
best friend, my dr., and my husband. None of my family or relatives, neighbours, said anything. And yes, I recall
my grandmother and other relatives who passed away from diabetic were not helped. I don't
understand some people. Even my father and mother made me take care of their house
when they went on vacation. I was then very sick. Maybe some people do not understand
diabetes seriously.
 
Maybe some people don't understand the problems it can cause or if they do prefer bury their heads in the sand and ignore it. If they don't talk or think about it maybe it will go away.

Yeah, maybe. Thanks for the reply Chris. It takes all kinds to make this world.

Hi Erin, with a broken arm or leg, you can see the condition, or sitting in a wheelchair, but diabetes is unseen and we look, shock horror, quite normal :rolleyes: and just get on with what we do every day. I often sit on the bus and people watch and wonder if they have a medical condition, diabetes, epilepsy, for example.
