Yes test b4 bed as long as there's no sugar you'll be fine.Hmmm I'm going to have tea, with milk before bed, should I test before bed or not?
Failing that it'll be first thing in the morning, then 2 hrs after brekkie...
Yes that's fine prob the best but **** expensive for what you get. Think we'll call you moneybags from now on.lol.Livlife
That's great going, just shows how wrong the Nhs advice is really.Got my monitor today, had appointment with the "diabetic" nurselast week the reading at GPs was 23.5, one week later on LCHF it was 10.1!!!! Reading after tea was 7.7, (2 hours later that is) I'll see what it is in the morning.
Nurse was great..asked "are you eating carbs?" Be careful about burning ketones...I replied..."the same ketosis as the Cambridge Diet?" (My ex-whiff was a keen fad diet freak) to which the nurse smiled and asked if I had any other questions![]()
The readings aren't too bad allowing for meter accuracy but I wonder if you've got a touch of carb flu if you've changed to fairly low-carb suddenly? If you stick to your guns you should feel better in a few days.My readings are all over the place and I feel awful - I feel like chucking the towel in and downing a tube of Smarties.
My bedtime reading last night was 8.1.
My fasting reading this morning was 8.5, which went down to 8.2 2 hrs after brekkie.
Lunchtime readings got missed - although I did have my soup, work was busy.
My before tea time reading was 6.7 then at 10pm it was 9.5.
I've felt, fuzzy, hot and tired - and a bit confuddled all day, not to mention hungry, yet I haven't lost an ounce in weight.
I'm going back to see my doc on Monday, feeling meh....![]()
