It doesn't normally for me Mike, but perhaps I've had too much lately (and leaded too, not decaf)!
Is it first thing in the morning with the heart racing rod? It's something I mentioned to my GP weeks ago, middle of the night racing heart when waking suddenly and not dropping off again, just had bloods done to check hormones and thyroid- both "no further action" on results, but it's still happening! Seems it will be marked down as anxiety now, but I don't feel anxious!

Ouch - 6.2 this morning. Should really have retested but worried I won't have enough strips for my trip next week although I may visit a local supplier if I have time. This was a reading after my morning shower and I note that others report higher numbers after a shower. I normally test before showering.

8.1 last night and 8.5 this morning.

And my bit of South London has complete cloud cover so no chance of seeing the eclipse

5.8 this morning for me, bed was 5.7. I prefer lower 5's to be honest but that's just being pedantic or harsh I guess! My highest all week post meal has been a 6.8 Tues evening 2 hours after a dinner of mince beef with a few onions in a bit of gravy(drop of Worcester sauce for a kick!) Cauli and greens so I can't complain really!
Sun trying to get out here on the east coast, the last eclipse was the day after I brought my now 15 year old daughter home- a hot august day, the day she was born was too- but within minutes we had a thunder storm and a down pour, bit of an omen ??!!

Not as good last night or this morning. I had liver and bacon for a late evening meal, and note from my records this has happened on previous occasions I've had the same meal. Over 50g of protein.

5.8 at bedtime (average 5.3)
6.0 this morning (average 5.5)

Beautiful bright sunny day here so hopefully get to see the eclipse which should be starting any time soon.

I've been fancying liver lately @Bluetit1802 thinking of the iron boost but wondered about the protein? I know it's higher end for you but 6 still not that extreme....you are like me in just not liking the higher end!!

7.1 this am ( fasting ) but it went up to 16.2 after I had a Chinese takeaway ...loads of sweet and sour , noodles etc and followed that by a large slice of battenburg cake I know I had a mad stressful day and stress binged . But on the plus side I didn't enjoy it as much as I would normally have done and my BG as somehow levelled itself out overnight .I did really expect a high reading this am.

Thanks for that I'm actually a nursing assistant and a very good one at that . I care and look after people with a wide variey of needs and I can assure you that I have not encouraged anyone under my care to eat **** ! the fact that I do is my own problem . And unless u intended to amuse with ur remarks I actually found them highly y offensive !

My intention was to amuse, if you sensibilities have been offended please know that it was not my intention.

Well the eclipse came and went.
About as exciting as waiting for a bus.
The temperature dropped like a stone in a well and the odd thing were the crows .... never seen so many!
Went very quiet.
Now gone very cloudy.
That's it.
If it's a clear night tonight we have a super moon that might interest our photographers.

Even unsweetened plain natural yogurt can be rich in lactose carbs because the bacterial fermentation to make yogurt is halted well before all the lactose is consumed by the bacteria in order to avoid making the yogurt too sour.
Alpro soya yoghurts are good...the plain, plain with almond or plain with coconut. Carbs LOW too
