Cheeers to all!

Welcome @ivm18,
Plenty of support here for you and I hope your son is coming to terms with his diagnosis.
Any questions then just ask.

That's a great positive attitude ivm18, best wishes to you and your lad, as CC says any questions just ask.

Unfortunately they can be like that when your newly diagnosed, try and keep a detailed bg diary and show it to his DSN so they can advise him on adjusting his insulin doses.

Hello and welcome to the forum, you and your son sound like real troopers and coping well :) As noblehead said, it's early days and some tweaking will need to be done.

Good luck and all the best for a happy and a bright future

Best wishes RRB :)

aww! thank you RRB, my son was such a strong young man, he never seems really affected with his recent diagnosis. I was the one who broke into tears when his DR. confirmed that he's type1. by the way his BG was like 40 when we rushed him into the ER. and I thank God more than ever that my son wasn't in DKA. ER DRs. and nurses were amazed that they never had a patient whos BG was so high and still seating inside the ER room and waiting til his vital signs were all taken by ER nurses. I'm just a lucky and blessed mum of 2 wonderful kids( my eldest is in university, she's taking up bachelor of science in Nursing and she's in her third year. and will pursue to become a physician soon.
To all of us parents with type1 child, let's us all hope for the very best in this new chapter of our lives. Keep the faith and be strong. x
