Hi I have been a Type 2 MODY diabetic for 37 years and there are approximately 18 diabetics in my family, only one of us is a Type 1. My family is involved with research into MODY diabetes and have been working with Andrew Hattersley at Exeter University for many, many years. In my immediate family I have two sisters who are also diabetics and 2 nephews thankfully none of us suffer from hypertension, high cholesterol, cardiac issues or retinopathy. I have recently been diagnosed with a rare form of neuropathy in the T4 nerve in my back despite have well controlled diabetes all of my life - a bit of a blow to be honest. Anyway enough about me, I have enjoyed reading the threads as a non member and look forward to many more now that I am a member
