6.9 this am ....;)not done anything different and it goes up and down like a yoyo hope it stays down then can have my blueberry crumble yummy:)
Fingers crossed...bit of stairs work needed? Walk up and down stairs a few times an hour before you want to eat it? Might work? ;)

5.9 this morning. Just posted this on the wrong thread. Not posted for a few days as we lost my mother in law very suddenly and unexpectedly last week. It's knocked us all sideways, haven't even checked my bs levels as I think they wouldn't have been accurate due to the shock to the system.I'm surprised its this low today actually
Sorry to hear of your loss. Big hugs to all x

Don't you use a different finger every time? Does it make scar tissue if you use the same one? I have been using a different finger every time and a different hand every day - but never the index finger? Am I doing it wrong?
I mainly use my small and ring fingers on both hands. Just odd times will move to others if four are all sore. Yours sounds a reasonable way to work too. I couldn't use the same finger all the time

On 3 x 500mg Metformin per day -- 2 tablets in morning usually at 06:30 and 10:00 am followed by third at 18:00hrs
7.8 this morning 06:30 before breakfast and 500mg Metformin 10.1 at 08:45 , took second Metformin now dropping 6.8 at 11:00 hrs

6.8 today... I think I have a sinus infection again.... It's all the cream and cheese I reckon... my average is going to be rubbish in May... :(
Aw, bless you. You do so really well with all the travelling you do. Don't forget your morning readings form such a small percentage of your HbA1c.....and I'm sure your pre and post readings are usually pretty darned good with the foods you eat. Hope you feel better soon.... X

Hola Susikav

I bow to your wisdom oh wise, but evil, temptress. Alas but 2 more moons must pass before the running of 26.2 miles commences in Brighton!

.......the thought of getting stuck into a large Malbec will get me over the finish line and boy do I mean LARGE!
Don't know what a Malbec is but enjoy anyway and after 26mile you'll have deserved a treat... Don't forget to take your kit and some lucozade or something just in case you go hypo with the running

In the past I went down to 15 grams of carbohydrates/ day and found it a bit limiting. Next I realised that I was sensitive to the amount of protein I ate.
I then got a few FBG readings of 72 mg/dl = 4 mmoles/l and this aroused a revival of ambitions to see if I could repeat it over some time ie that the results are real. So thats what I am doing at the moment, very low carbs, minimal protein and hight fat to keep the formulation iso caloric.
I do know that my upper limit for cabs is around 25 grams/ day which then gives a higher but still satisfactory FBG and post prandial results.I seem to be a chronic tweaker or tinkerer

Golly Gosh, Pasha, that is intense. But I totally understand your mindset, as it is how I am looking forward to controlling BGLs, once I get through the last half of this ND. At the moment the carb content is high, at 22g per meal replacement, although the calories are VL.
It does seem to be working, with the occasional puzzling glitch. However, I am wondering what would be the result of keeping the calories constant, isocaloric, as you say, while reducing the carb content to, say, 35g per day. Fear of somehow upsetting the progress I am making now, by tinkering with what works, is a deterrent for me, so I spend some thought in making experimental plans for the future, only another month away.
I have to say, Pasha, that I am totally impressed by your consistently good results - certainly an outcome to pursue with all diligence, and an example to us all!

Hola Pasha

If you've got the time (and inclination) would it be possible to let us know what you had to eat on a typical day on your new regime or would that have to be on a separate thread?

Are you reporting your carbohydrates with or without fibre content.?

Stay strong for the "duration", the ND is surely a stern test for even the stoutest of folks.
