Do take a pen and paper with you as things will be a bit overwhelming to start with. Do not be afraid to ask questions. If you are not sure ask until you are happy.
Have you sorted out your insulin vials and extra test strips with your GP surgery?
Also make sure you have plenty of quick acting carbs so you can treat hypos as soon as they appear.
@ConsultingTimeLordElf, what Carbsrok has said above plus remember to test your bg more often and make sure you do some night-time testing until you know that your basal rates are right.
