Good morning everyone, early start for me today. Taking Mrs cat to the airport at 3:30 am, she's flying out to Turkey with her sisters for a Mediterranean cruise
6•0

5.2 mmol / L this morning.
4.6 mmol / L at bed time.

Bed time was a good half hour before midnight. Early start this morning - so most likely before my dawn phenomenon! ;)

9 this am up an hour earlier .... sunny but the wind is cold

6.0 this morning but not too concerned after a series of mid-5s as I had a large dinner the night before which included some self-indulgent carbs which only saw a rise of 1.4 from 5.7 to 7.1. But the self-reward for Friday's excellent review finished yesterday and I'm back on the diet and exercise regime today although with revised and more modest weight loss targets (1.5 pounds per week for three weeks) and the aim of gradually increasing exercise with weights to replace lost upper body muscle.

7.6, reduced Metformin SR from 2g to 1.5g last night - side effects are increasing. :(

Bewildered - Metformin doesn't work on an individual dose-by-dose basis. It's effects build up over a few days/doses, and similarly, missing the odd dose has a minimal impact; good or bad. So, in reality, it will take a few days to see the impact of your reduction.
