- Not being able to eat as many chocolate digestives as I used to.
So, doing an overnight trip for the company and staying at Mr Henry's favourite hotel because it's right opposite the client's site.
Wake up with BG of 5.8, ok. Injected as normal, had very similar breakfast to what I'd have at home. Walked to client site, had meeting and went back to hotel to pick up the car. Checked BG and it was 15.5! Washed hands again and rechecked, 14.7.
Looking for answers, I discover that the little pink sachets of 'sweetener' they provide in the breakfast room that I'd sprinkled liberally into my 2 cups of coffee is full of dextrose.
Ok. As a diabetic I probably should have checked for myself BEFORE I chucked it in my coffee but a 'sweetener'.
