Tattoos

Aww I love Star Wars, I bet that looks good! I've been told to keep the cling film on for a few hours and use that cream you told me about too (which I'd forgotten to get beforehand) and to apply it 4-5 times a day. What is your tattoo of?

Yeah it does look pretty cool. I've got a black rose on my shoulder blade. I want another now though.image.jpg

I like that! How long did it take?! Any ideas for your next one then? Lol

Thank you, It took about 15-20 mins to do, not very long. I'm thinking either a butterfly or four hearts starting of small and each heart slightly getting bigger going up into a slight arc shape then having my husbands and three sons initial in each heart. i would probably have that above my ankle but not sure yet.

That sounds lovely. Whenever i become a mum id like to have two adult turtles and a baby one done somewhere for my little family. I thought your rose would have taken longer, mine took about that and there's not much there! Lol

He said it would take about an hour when it was booked but was done much quicker. Your turtle tattoo idea sounds lovely

Yeah said the same for mine too, although originally I was going to have colour put in it too. Thanks I'm pretty fond of the shelled creatures, I have two tortoises as pets so it kind of came from them lol

Hi guys, I'm not sure if this has been covered already, but I'm thinking about getting my first tattoo and wondered whether I'll have to have a note from my GP to take along to show I have good enough control of my BG before I have it done?

Will be grateful of any advice, thanks!
No,you don't need a note, they just need to know, take extra care to prevent infection, steer away from foot tattoos and eat something sweet without taking insulin right before you have it done

When going to get my tattoo done the artist who did mine said to make sure you take something to treat a hypo with as the adreneline will destroy blood glucose and she has had a few pass out on her because of it. I made sure I had a decent breakfast before getting it done and it didn't affect my diabetes at all. Hope this helps in some way
