Congratulations, you're the Star:-D5.0 on this wet and dull morning. Saw nurse yesterday for breath test - 5% improvement and officially 2 stone lighter than 6 weeks ago.

That's excellent advice @AndBreathe, & puts the information in an easy to understand, articulate format. I'll be seeing my DNS next Friday, so I think you're right...it's time to try without the Gliclazide. I will titrate it downwards even further over this weekend & see how I go. As for weight gain being a common issue with this med...thankfully no. I continue to lose weight at a steady rate, and it's staying off. I think losing weight has improved my insulin sensitivity, meaning I no longer need Gliclazide as I did when diagnosed 6 months ago.
Your advice is very much appreciated, and always welcome.

7.2 this am but an hour overdue with metformin due to lie in and 2.5 hrs later than norm, so whilst I'm not happy about the result I can live with it .

Not sour cream this time, but brie and pecorino cheeses in truly gluttinous amounts. Items that now must be stocked in only small amounts.
