IF YOU REMEMBER HIM??
If you remember him you have a good memory:rolleyes:
Loved watching Little House On The Prarie with my then, little girl
She still has her little dolly with frilly bonnet and she's over 50 now
I do just remember him .. I would be in your daughters group !!!! Lol ;) x

How kind of Clive to drop in , getting a few visitors now ...
Did he say he would give the windows a clean for us .. Kind man is Clive ..
We might get to go on one of his real trips as well

But a virtual coach would be just as good

Well I've done the weeding and watered the veg patch, put the weeds on the compost heap, mind I don't think they will be there for long, the chickens have started scratching at it, someone came by earlier for the donkey poo and gave us a £5 so have put it in the kitty for tea and stuff, got the mower out and trundled it round the path in the grass, left the sides as I thought it would be a good idea to encourage wild life, I think the pattern looks good, can you tell what it is yet.
The cover on the wood pile is fine but I will get some more wire pegs to hold it on, hubs said he will do a stint at chopping logs next hols so we should have plenty for the winter.
Still no eggs in the coup, maybe we need a cockerel to encourage the girls to lay, that red one is cheeky she tried to make me drop the feed scoop.
Back later.

Such great team work going on ... Impressed .. Just picked a few strawberries for tea ..

When we have extra veg, we can set up a stall by the hedge , with an honesty box ...
Do you think there'll be any spare? I mean we all eat healthily....and quite a few of us now. Wouldn't be fair not to share with the boys who drop by, especially @eddie1968 for all his hard work.

Ooh, @satindoll you have been sooo busy....you wouldn't have been watching the matinee with @NicolaB70 then? Or did you get chance. As you know, I wasn't there. Been pootling about on laptop ordering stuff for dogs', grandson's birthday and a new fridge freezer for me....there's only me but to get a week's worth of milk, fruit and veg & salad in my little fridge just doesn't work. Had overflow into my coolbag but ice packs were warming so quickly (and forgetting to change them didn't help) I've ended up with YELLOW broccoli. Didn't really look 'bad' but cut most off anyways..

Ooh, that cheeky red hen.....she's asking ME for more food now......
Just had cuddles of the donkeys ... For the.life of me couldn't remember their names but they didn't seem to mind...if anyone is sleeping over tonight you'll need some more milk...just used the last. We'll have to get some longlife for "emergencies" it's a long way to walk to that newsagents if you came on the bus....I'd've got some but they were shut .....

Thanks Satindoll you're a star

Hi RRB, didn't see you there, was so busy exploring, that looks a really comfy armchair, so many lovely big cushions, and the wings to keep out the draughts, I missed so much when you built this place you must be so pleased and love the wood burner for the winter, saw the log pile @eddie1968 must have been so busy, maybe I could get hubs to help him cut some more.
Have tucked the donkeys up for the night with a few carrots and apples and locked the chicken coup, yes I remembered to fill their water troughs.
Will have to come back tomorrow during the day to have a look at the veg patch, maybe do a bit of weeding and potter about.
Just love the way you ladies "delegate" tasks lol

We will have to name the hens .. One has a name that's Red !!! Who thought of that ..
But we have 11 others ...
The donkeys ... Well Punch and Judy comes to mind ..
But others may have other ideas ... What shall we choose ...they do need a name ...

Long life milk is a great idea ... We will get some in ...

Getting a new fridge freezer you won't regret it in thewinter , when you don't want to go out shopping so much .. Or now , the summer ... Things are not lasting unless they are chilled ..
I have a much older neighbour in our road .. Nooo freezer ... Just long life and tins ... I would need the freezer ..
More space for food .. But I let neighbour keep a few things in mine if required ... As do others ..;)

Can you give a clue about the pattern ... Hope it's not a rude sign lol lol. :hilarious::hilarious::p
I love all the work you have done ... Thanks Mr SD .. For the help , a friend for eddie .. :cat:
Oooo yes we do need a cockerel .. Ooo look the farmer over the fence has just given us one .. What a beautiful boy :chicken::chicken:

Just dropped by but you've all been and gone... The donkeys seemed happy to be called Punch & Judy....both ever so sweet..... Cockerel being a bit noisy. Telling the world about his new harem I guess. Good job we've no near neighbours.... Believe those red spider mites can stop hens laying but it's a bit hard to check their coop in this light.....can someone drop by to check tomo....

I checked for mites earlier, not a mite to be seen, but have dusted the coup just in case, and put some ceramic eggs in their nests to encourage them, good thing they are colour blind as I could only get coloured eggs, now they have a man about the house they should start laying, That rooster is a Rhode Island Red, maybe we should call him Roddy.
Punch and Judy is good, I thought of Jack and Jill, maybe when we have enough names a poll might be useful otherwise we may end up with a bit of a tussle on what to call them.
I found some packs of wild flower seeds and scattered them amongst the grass lines, should come up next year and look very nice.
