Any t1 diabetic gamers out there?

Hi

Just wondering if there any other people who play video games like I do who have type 1. I play on an Xbox One personally :P

Also, does it mean I should quit gaming as it is bad for my health?
 
Hey, I'm a type 1 and play video games I don't see why it would be bad for your health. I've not had any problems I guess the screen is bad for your eyes but other than that I can't think why it would be bad for us specifically. I play on xbox 360, I haven't upgraded to the one yet (I'm too cheap :P).
 
PC gamers here, haven't played on a console for 10 year and mostly play the Battlefield games
 
I've done a fair bit of PC & Mac gaming in the past... Battle front, American mcGee's Alice & Area 51.
Dark moody plot lines in the game action...
Never owned a console.
 
Xbox 360, prefer rpgs with a bit of variation in the story line, eg fable, dragon age, witcher, and the likes; too bad witcher3 is only available on Xbox1 now. gaming for hours doesn't seem to have any particular effect on my BS, sitting that long however affects my backside :)

Apologies, TakeItAway88, no harm meant. Yes, they do say that you should exercise as much as possible, so sitting on your Xbox all day everyday isn't good, for anyone, whether they have diabetes or not. I do notice that if I sit for too long after a meal my bg's are higher than if I move around.

Aha. Well that's good to hear. At the moment I'm playing Batman: Arkham Knight. It's so good I also play games like COD, GTA and Minecraft.

No offence taken silverbirch don't worry about it Thank you for that. That's very interesting to hear about and I'll take that in mind.

Oh ok. Myself I'm the opposite. I like playing violent games: especially involving guns. Lol. I love the action and the intensity of them.

Hopefully I might get Elder Scrolls soon. What's it like?

They are all amazing, but Skyrim is incredible - the world is like nothing else.

was my first game on a pc just after 2 operations on my legs, my mate had a pc for gaming and with being off work a year I was there alot, oh and wolfenstien

and for the pc gamers I,m a 95th clan member, just inactive on the game atm due to ill health etc

I do think the earlier ones were great, not that don't love Battlefield 4. Sad to hear that you're not well, hope you get better soon :)
 
thank you, the earlier ones were the best bf4 is ok hardline was real bad, a good time killer but not a bf game

Yeah Hardline didn't look good to me so I never bothered with it. Star Wars Battlefront looks just like a mod for BF4 and there's no space combat! So I don't think I'll be buying that..
