Freestyle Libre Waiting List

I signed up on the (Italian - this is where I am based) Freestyle Libre website in June and there is still no answer after two months.

In the meantime I got really impatient reading all the great feedback on the device and bought it on ebay along with one sensor

Can anyone provide info on the typical waiting times in any of the countries where it is distributed?

I've been waiting for almost 5 months (UK).

At the moment the waiting time here in the UK appears to be 4-5 months. As you have bought the reader and one sensor from ebay, please be aware that you may not be able to purchase further sensors from Abbott as you are not registered with them. You may have to rely on ebay instead. May I ask how much you paid?

No, I'm fortunate to have got mine in June this year after waiting 4 months.

I paid too much, probably 3 times the official price....

Yes, still waiting but going to speak to my consultant next week about funding for cgm which I think would be better for me.

The same here. My consultant suggests I go for Dexcom. It looks like I could do a free trial in September. As I am still in honeymoon, I think the Dexcom could be an overkill for me but who knows. Ideally I would like to start on Libre and then move to a CGM. But with these waiting times for the Libre, I may start on the Dexcom sooner.
