Well there are no perks from being diabetic, but free prescriptions are a blessing for me as I used to buy a three monthly pre paid card as I have quite a few meds on a regular basis, iv been amazed how many people iv spoken to (including) receptionist at my docs) with diabetes didn't know!

Think they don't advertise it in case too many people sign up. I used to buy an annual one for something like £110

Yes its quite expensive, and I was amazed the exemption covered all items we need not related to diabetes
