Good afternoon,

With regard to the SD Codefree meter that is recommended a lot on here, my question is,

If you order 500 strips, what sort of expiry dates do you get ?

This has probably been asked before, but I am too lazy to search.

Hello. When I ordered mine it was June 2014. I've just looked and their expiry date is March 2016. :)

That clearly can vary, depending on where Homehealth are on their stock levels at the time you order. If they have just taken a delivery it could be a longer date.

If you need to buy in bulk, because you're travelling, I have done that when going away for several months and been fine. If you're considering it, to get the maximum advantage from the discount code, then I can point out the saving/discount is exactly the same percentage if you buy 5 or 10 pots (250/500 strips, respectively).

you could always give them a call, or email them from the link on their site and ask them. They are very approachable.

Oh....thanks, didn't notice the discount being the same, but then having a BSc in Economics means Maths isn't my strongpoint.

I think I'll get one and go for 5 pots then.

I have an Accu Chek and a Contour Next but the strips are expensive even from E-Bay.

Thanks for the reply.

I always order 250 strips ..they arrive in 5 little pots of 25 .. If you order direct from home health the use by is pretty good. Also do remember the discount code
