I've just returned from a night away staying in a hotel near to the NEC and Genting Arena. But why are food choices so restricted for diabetics? I've been told I AM diabetic by my Dr but I have to have a 2nd fasting blood test for "official" diagnosis.
So, trying to be good I ordered a chicken breast burger with came with chunky chips and salad garnish. I also ordered a "side" of extra salad. I gave the top of the bun/bap to my husband to eat and I confess the chunky chips were so good I ate them all
I HAD intended to give at least half of them to my husband who was watching me eagerly for an extra helping
I ate LOTS of salad and just drank sparkling mineral water whilst hubby had 2 pints of cider.
When we got back to the hotel after the concert / gig I confess I caved in and had a bacardi with diet coke - whoops!
