My father's wound is not healing

Yes we have clinics in our area but he is too weak to go outside. :-(
Can someone come to the house to check on him? If not a private doctor or nurse, maybe one who works for a charity?

Swelling around the face could be a sign of kidney problems or something else that is also serious. I hope a doctor or nurse can see him soon, as it may be hard for his body to heal on its own without further treatment. I am sorry you are going through this.

Thank you all for your concern.

Right now I really do not know what to do. Money is preventing me from hospitalization. We have public hospitals and too crowded and even with public hospitals we still have to spend money for the medicines. He was discharged last month from the hospital and we were there for 2 months. I too would not want to go back there anymore but If I have choice and means, I would send my papa back there again. I think his foot needs amputation but with his conditions, I seriously doubt he can make it. He is too weak. I am hoping for a miracle.

I am going to see him again this Sunday. I really do not know what to do except to ask questions in forum and just pray. Really hard.

taking medicine everyday for 2 months, lots of antibiotics must have damaged his kidney.

This was taken last week. The swelling is not that big yet but my sister texted me that he cannot open his right eye anymore and his face has swollen much. If you are a Christian, please include him in your prayers. Thank you.

I don't wish to cause any offence about your beliefs, but in my honest opinion, miracles do not happen. What he needs is modern medical care to treat his illness or at least relieve his pain and make his last days comfortable. I think it's time to be very brave and step up and make a decision to either help him get treatment (whether at home or somewhere else) or arrange pain relief for him. It's not humane to just hope for the best and not get some sort of medical care. I realise money is tight and the services there are not great but honestly the time for worrying about what the public hospital is like are past. If he is not going to go to hospital then please find out about humane palliative care for him so he does not suffer anymore.

Update: My father is now in the hospital for 2 weeks now, the same hospital we were last month. His leg is scheduled to be amputated. He has anemia and need blood transfusion. He also have heart enlargement and pneumonia. I wonder why his stomach keeps on aching. He is very weak and could not speak. When he speak his voice sounds like he got a stroke but he did not had a stroke. He speak only a word or two. Very weak. Any idea why his voice is like that. He cannot pronounce the words well.

His scrotum also got big.

I'm glad he is in the hospital and getting treatment now. Anaemia, heart problems and pneumonia may well be making it hard for him to speak. You could ask the hospital staff about it.

I wish him and his family the best of luck.
