Hi I am fairly newly diagnosed with T2, actually nearly 2 months ago, Have done the diabetic Education,
but am now waiting on referal with Dietician, which i am told will be in December, my Eye Test is next January, so i am stuck in limbo at the moment,
I do not even no what my levels are as i have no way of monitoring then, and also i do not see the Diabetic Nurse again til December

Hello Do welcome to the forum. Several others will be along soon with helpful advice, we have all been in your shoes.....
It is scary at first but we'll done on doing the courses so quickly,some wait months for those. Eye test and dietics can take a bit of time but if you are not having any problems so far with sight January isn't too far away.
I take it at present they are hoping you will try to control your diabeties via diet? You will find lots of advice on here regarding it. As for not testing unless you are on insulin or gliclazide the nhs does not always provide a testing kit( depends on area and gp) so it's up to you to purchase one, again someone will come along to advise on that too....
I know it's a frightening feeling being diagnosed but if you need assurance and help this forum gives it.....wishing you well,and post as many questions as you like.....
