Hi
I'm Mark newly diagnosed type 2. Went to see the DN at our practise on 30th October she told me my starving blood test (about 2 weeks before) showed hba1c at 11.2% . She took more blood that day to do a kidney function test etc and they also did another hba1c. She called today to tell me the tests were fine and that my hba1c was 8.1% I'd only had a cup of tea that morning. She at frst seemed quite pleased that her treatment was working until I reminded her that I wasn;t on any medication between the two tests and hadn't chagned my diet at all. She seeemed a bit flummoxed by this news but glossed over and carried on.
Has anyone else had a big change in hba1c in such a short time? Is it normal?
Thanks in advance
Mark
