Hi there, it's a good idea to post this on the forum for everyone to see if you can ? You're only 2 weeks in from your diagnosis so in your honeymoon and readings will be erratic, it takes time to understand the numbers and grasp t1 but if you're running high speak to your diabetic nurse about reviewing your insulin doses.

Hello! Should I call the paramedics if accidentally double doses my tresiba or should I be fine monitoring from home? I took them twice 10Pm and 9:50pm. It’s 3 am and I’m 153 at the moment. Should I be worried or scared or is everything going to be okay if I just monitor the rest of the night? I take 20 units every night but with double dose I took 40

I'd like to add that you'll get more responses if you start a new thread on the forum next time you have a question.
Posting a question on someone's profile is likely to be overlooked ;)

Tresiba appears to last for 3 to 4 days. So I agree with @Antje77 that you will have to follow your numbers more closely than usual (more finger pricks). You may find that you have to use less fast-acting (if you do) for your meals, snack in between meals, and eat more carbohydrates in general, be mindful of exercise, and set an alarm overnight, to stop your numbers from dropping.
Hi, I have made a free webapp while bored in lockdown for people to manually enter and track various health markers, conditions and medications etc. Is it possible to post about it to see if it would help anyone? It's just me that's made it with some help from my partner who is a doctor
Hi there, I am a researcher for a technology innovation company and I was wondering if it would be ok to ask the people on this forum if they use smart/connected injector pens and what they like/dislike about them. Would that be ok?

Hello - how long have you been diagnosed and what insulin are you taking ?
    Hi,

I am a Psychology undergraduate student. I am currently recruiting participants to complete a survey for my dissertation. I have received permission from diabetes.co.uk to post a link on this forum which directs people to my survey. If I do this will it be marked as spam as I noticed that you need to post at least 3 times before posting a link on here?

    Many thanks,
    Hannah.
how do i change my email address without creating another account?

Hello Xeno - you don't need a log in for the main site as you can simply browse the site, unless you're in the low carb program ?

Hi Juicyj, thanks for your reply. Like Iron_Addict, I also find the site a bit unfriendly for inexperienced users and find it quite difficult to find my way around, but I will try to find something in the diet section.
I was diagnosed with T2 in 2011. I immediately went on a carb restricted and low fat diet, eating max 30g carbs per meal. I lost 14 kg in 3 months. Since then the weight has been creeping on again. 4 months ago I started a LCHF diet and I have not lost one single KG. What am I doing wrong? I do not eat bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, cereals etc.

Hi there and welcome to the forum, you can write onto your profile your status however only those who read it will know, are you looking for advice on anything ? To be honest it depends on your medication rather than 'type', if you post under type 1 and looking for information then others will be able to respond, shout me if you need any more help ;)
