After my husband Paul was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 4 and a half years ago, life went into a bit of a spin.

I have been astonished by the strength and warmth of support within the diabetes community - people who live day to day with a chronic relentless condition, yet who have the strength to support others to live better lives.

I do 'my bit' where I can:bookworm: - it is a hard battle sometimes fighting a sometimes ill-informed health service, however the potential results speak for themselves.
If one person can live a healthier life through being better informed about diabetes, learning how to manage diet and exercise all whilst enjoying the support of an amazing diabetes patient community, then it's worth it and I feel privileged to play a part.:)
