Would it be Worth having a band fitted to loose weight.

Only 55lbs to lose? I'd not risk it myself. I started with just over 200 lbs to lose and now about 155 to lose still. At no time has doc even discussed gastric options. Only knew one friend who got one fitted, and she piled a lot back on. She regrets her decision.

    Question about diabetes numbers

I started with a very similar HbA1c - 107, mid September. I've been going hell for leather in terms of diet (IF/LC mostly), exercise, supplements & medication ever since, and my numbers are very clearly going the right direction, and now I'm concerned they might be too fast. It all started...

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

107 mmol/L, or 11.9 % in mid September. Not due to have second test until mid/end December. Have high hopes to get that WELL into single figures, considering I'm LCHF and IF most days.

Losing 10 per cent of body weight doubles the chance of type 2 diabetes remission

I've 66% to lose, so hoping for some improvements beyond the 10% from my initial HbA1C of 107 mmol/L. Aiming for 10% loss initially after 3 months IF/LowCarb dieting.

Haven't measured in months and months. I've tripled.

Yup, I’m collecting the kit for the home sleep test next week. Using the Withings Sleep Analyzer, it was averaging 35 events per hour, that was 2 months ago.

Haven't measured in months and months. I've tripled.

Doc phoned already, one day after pee/blood draw/BP test. Says the diabetes test was slightly up, I'm to go in again for a fasting BG test on 1st Oct. Thyroid test was borderline, so another test for that in 3 months. That call was less bad than I thought it would be. But as you say, it's...
