Hello I’m pleased you recovered from it. Do you think it was related/caused by Diabetes? And How long did it take you to recover from it?

No she’s not had it yet (typically she got her invitation letter just a couple of days after starting the steroids and cannot have vaccines whilst taking them, although the course of steroids is only for a couple more days I think)

Thank you, I’m glad your mum recovered well. I’m worried that the fact my mum delayed going to doctors and so didn’t start the steroids within 72 hours might affect her recovery rate but just have to wait and see

Thank you very much. No improvement yet but we’ve read that a lot of people start improving 2-3 weeks after it starts

Thank you all for your replies it’s much appreciated. My mum is much the same this morning, although when she went to bed last night she had to force her right eye closed with her fingers and it would only stay closed if she laid on her right side. Which seems to be a classic Bell’s Palsy...
