    Hi I thought anything over 5.5mmo/l was considered Impaired Glucose Tolerance and anything over 7.0mmo/l was indicative of diabetes?

    My last 4 Glucose Fasting test results were 6.7mmo/l, 6.8mmo/l, 7.3mmo/l and 7.9mmo/l. However I had my 1st HbA1c test taken last month and I gave a result of 27mmo/l.     OK just briefly my most recent fasting test gave a reading of 7.3mmo/l. I also had an HbA1c test done with the fasting test but that came back with a very healthy level of 27mmo/l. I am very confused... Why is the fasting result indicative of diabetes whereas the 3 month HbA1c test suggest...

    Update on my pre-diabetes review.

    I got the results of my pre-diabetes review yesterday. My Glucose Fasting level has gone back up to a diabetic level again of 7.3mmo/l and I have to wait until Monday to see my GP for him to tell me what my average blood sugar level has been with regards to my HbA1c test as the receptionist...
